LETTER:They used to say Port looks like New England, but not anymore
To Ozaukee Press:
I was so glad to see the letters in last week’s Ozaukee Press from Sara and Kathy about development and its effect on Port Washington’s image. I totally agree with them.
I lived in Port for 27 years and enjoyed living there, but I do not like what is happening downtown with all the big buildings. Soon you will not be able to see the lake.
I used to walk around the marina and talk to the boaters who came in from various places. They always commented on how, when coming into the harbor, Port looks very similar to New England. Well, I don’t think they will be quoting that statement anymore.
City leaders need to wake up.
