Kenneth Riemert
Kenneth Wayne Riemert, age 64, took the big sail on Wednesday, April 21, 2021.
Kenny was born Jan. 27, 1957, in Port Washington, Wis.
He obtained his GED from Lakeshore Technical College in 1979.
Shortly after, he relocated to Aiken, S.C., in 1980. He worked various jobs, including picking peaches, working as a ranch hand at a horse ranch and later as an assembler at Rieter Corp. until 1999.
When Kenny wasn’t on the water kayaking or sailing, he could be found drawing or painting, his favorite being cartoon characters.
He was an avid history buff, finding joy in learning about the history of his hometown, Port Washington.
He enjoyed baking and cooking and had a green thumb. Kenny was well known for his love of sailing, motorcycles and bicycling. He will be greatly missed for his sense of humor and his love for his pets.
He is survived by his sister Terri Lee Riemert of Random Lake, Wis.; brothers John Riemert of Aiken, S.C., and Daniel (Julie) Riemert of Belgium, Wis.; niece Angela (John) Dorzok of Kewaskum, Wis.; nephew Steve (Jenny Sailer) Riemert of Random Lake, Wis.; and many friends and family.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents Eli and Rose (Kahut) Riemert.
