Ruth E. Sanem

Ruth Eliza Sanem of Plymouth was called home on Friday, April 9, 2021. She was 87.  

Ruth was born in Port Washington to Walter and Lillian Schachel on Oct. 5, 1933.

She married Clarence Sanem on July 21, 1951, and together they had three children.

Ruth loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed puzzles and taking care of her birds and dogs.

Ruth is survived by her children Carol (David) Barts, Clarence “Butch” (Jill) Sanem and Nancy (Stan) Waldeck. She is further survived by seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren with the 14th expected in June; her siblings Harold (Linda) Schachel and Joan (Danny) Hulett; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence (8/4/1988); her parents; mother and father-in-law; her sister Elaine Ringhand; two brothers-in-law; and two sisters-in-law.

A funeral service for Ruth will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 16, 2021, at Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington.  

The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.          Ruth will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery in Fredonia.
