Buccaneers’ teams complete successful seasons

Port Washington Buccaneers youth football teams had winning records this year. The eighth-grade team went 4-1 in a season shortened by the Covid-19 pandemic, and the fifth and sixth-grade team went 7-1. Above left, Kyle Uselding leaped and came down with a long reception against New Holstein in the final game last month on the turf at Port Washington High School’s Al Urness Field. The Buccaneers won, 32-7. The team’s defense limited every opponent to two touchdowns or less, and strong offensive line play led to scoring runs by Josh Arnold, Sam Pasten, Payton Didier and Cooper Schwanz. Pasten hit Sam Hoeft for a touchdown pass. “We had significant contributions from all 27 players. They have really bought-in to the team,” coach Eric Tetzlaff said. Above right, Kiya Sullivan ran behind the block of Mason Schwanz for the fifth and sixth-grade team in a 14-0 win over New Holstein last month. Sullivan had 87 yards rushing and a touchdown. Kade Kintop ran for 100 yards and a score. Aedyn Brownmiller ran for 59 yards and Max Zillmann ran for 28 yards. Brody Goeden had five tackles and Zillmann and Carter Milichar each had four. Nate Differt forced a fumble and Ellis Grover and Milichar each recovered one.
