Scolman dives into the record book

Grafton High School senior Sophia Scolman did more than defend her North Shore Conference diving title last Friday at Nicolet.

She made school history.

Scolman scored 458.05 points, a personal best for 11 dives, breaking the 22-year-old school record of 450.25 points.

“With her hard work, courage and dedication she put together an outstanding meet,” diving coach Dennis Hubert said.

Grafton sophomore Maranda Uttke took third with 413.95 points.

Hubert coaches divers from Grafton, Port Washington and Cedarburg. One Cedarburg diver was missing due to illness.

Of Hubert’s other divers, Cedarburg sophomore Tori Bogenschutz was seventh with 357.95 points. Port sophomore Stephanie Schlessinger was 11th with 260.65 points and freshman Annastasia Wischki was 14th with 216.65 points.
