Football not on table at WIAA’s August meeting
The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association is not scheduled to discuss the fall high school football season at its August meeting on Friday.
“Typical business associated with the start of the new year” are slated to be discussed, WIAA Director of Communications Todd Clark said.
Despite colleges canceling fall football, the WIAA wasn’t planning to revisit its plan, Clark said. The board at a special meeting July 23 provided an option for districts to hold fall sports in spring.
Fall football, volleyball and soccer starts were delayed to Sept. 7. Other sports may start Aug. 17.
