Plymouth Dirt Track to open season on Saturday

After meeting with county health officials, the Sheboygan County Fair Board will open the Plymouth Dirt Track Racing season Saturday with certain guidelines.

The pits open at 2:30 p.m. and the gates at 4:30 p.m., with opening ceremonies at 6 p.m. and racing to follow.

Fan attendance will be allowed at either 25% or 50% capacity, following the county guidelines in place on race day.

Fans will not be allowed in the pits after the races have concluded.

A limited number of grandstand tickets went on sale this week. Tickets may be purchased at the fair office or by calling (920) 893-5751 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

In the pits, haulers are asked to space themselves 10 to 15 feet apart and crew members should stay in their respective pit area. The pit area will be expanded if necessary.

Anyone purchasing a pit pass will not be allowed in the grandstand.

The drivers meeting will be broadcast over the radio on FM station 100.9

Drivers and crew are asked to leave immediately following the last race.

The races will include the 360 sprints, late-model cars, Grand Nationals and B-modified cars.

Three practice days were scheduled at the track.
