Company partners with Road America

A Fredonia company has struck a deal to supply an international race track with disinfecting wipes for the 2020 season.

Road America near Elkhart Lake will get wipes for high-touch common areas from Guy and O’Neill, Inc., of Fredonia, according to a release from Road America.

The company says its Clean Cut disinfecting wipes kill 99.9% of bacteria in 15 seconds and cut through grease.

“Cleaning and disinfecting supplies are in high demand across the country due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and we are very proud to partner with a local company that believes in supporting Road America as we strive to get back to operating

in a safe environment for our fans and customers,” Road America President and General Manager Mike Kertscher said.

“We are continuing to make improvements and meet standards for sanitization, social distancing protocols, and personal protection requirements for our staff and the facility, and we are eager to get rolling. Having a regular, local supply of sanitizing products and Clean Cut disinfecting wipes to help keep everyone safe throughout the season is tremendous.”

Road America intends to use the wipes and other sanitizing products to regularly clean and disinfect high-touch and common use areas around the facility, including restrooms, handrails, door handles, and push bars, public furniture, interior spaces and rooms.

“Guy & O’Neill is a company that cares, and not just with our employees and customers, but also nationally. And once we saw an immediate need to help keep Road America safe, we jumped right in,” Guy & O’Neill President Tom Misgen said.

“Items like our Clean Cut cleaning wipes are in high demand but hopefully we can alleviate concern for many and create a level of safety for customers as they enjoy Road America throughout the 2020 season.”

Road America postponed its Spring Vintage Festival from May 15 to 17 due to the coronavirus, and it will host MotoAmerica Superbike Series on May 29 to 31 without fans. Another MotoAmerica Superbike Weekend was added to the schedule on June 26 to 28.
