LETTER: News media did not report on Pelosi effort to pad relief bill

I take exception to the statement in a recent letter to the editor that mainstream newspapers and televison news organizations always report the truth.

Past events, way before Covid-19, clearly show this to be not true. The rush by some in the media to report something, anything, to create a 24-hour news loop has put them time and time again in the position of negative, not authenticated, not validated reporting.

As an example, how many were informed of Nancy Pelosi’s requests to include in the financial relief bill money for Planned Parenthood, carbon neutrality for airlines, Endowment of Humanities, Kennedy Center, changes in election laws and a Green New Deal.

What do these requests have to do with the relief bill? How extensively was this dithering by her reported in the “truthful” media?
