Riveredge pancake breakfast to be virtual

Riveredge Nature Center’s annual outdoor pancake breakfast, which marks the end of the maple syrup season, will be held virtually this year on Saturday, April 4, in response to the coronavirus outbreak.

Pancake breakfast participants will be provided a suggested menu, a virtual tour of the male syrup-making process, pancake making tips and background music.

On April 4, participants will be asked to make some pancakes, coat them with maple syrup, add in extras and go outside to their yard or porch for pancakes.

Use of digital devices is encouraged to post pictures or interacts live with others.

The annual pancake breakfast is a major fundraiser for the nature center each year. To donate this year, go to www.riveredgenaturecenter.org/event/riveredge-virtual-pancake-breakfast/ to register and donate. There is no minimum donation required.

Also available for ordering online are an organic pancake mix and maple syrup harvested and prepared at the nature center.
