LETTER: Naming rights, principal pick good decisions for Port High

Two points abut the news in the March 12 Ozaukee Press:

Congrats to Thad Gabrielse on his new position as Port Washington High School principal. I worked with Thad for several years as a member of the athletic boosters, and I am convinced he will be excellent in his new role.

I also see the Port Washinton-Saukville School District has finally joined the rest of the world and decided to accept private money for naming rights. Being a 40-plus year customer of the Port Washington State Bank, I think it was an outstanding choice to accept the bank’s $100,000 donation and give the bank the right to name the new student commons Port Washington State Bank Upper Deck.
