Band trip to Florida is a go

While concerns about the spread of the coronavirus grow across the world, the Cedar Grove-Belgium High School’s band trip to Florida is still slated to be held.

The band is scheduled be gone from March 20 to 27, over spring break.

“We haven’t been affected. The trip is still on,” band director Alanna Ford said.

Interim Supt. Claire Martin has posted a notice on the district website that the district is reviewing and updating its pandemic plans, since the Centers for Disease Control recommends preparing for the spread of the coronavirus.

The statement said the school nurse is working with administrators “to plan and respond to emerging communicable disease concerns.”
