City says zoning notice no reason to worry
Port Washington residents and property owners will receive notices this week about the city’s proposed zoning code and map update, City Administrator Melissa Gossett said.
The update has taken nearly three years and is an attempt by the city to modernize the code and make it easier to use, she said.
Just because a property owner receives a notice doesn’t mean a property’s zoning will be affected, Gossett said. The notices are being distributed broadly because the new code covers the entire city.
Residents are encouraged to review the proposed code and zoning map on the city’s website at https://tinyurl.com/mr3bc5a6.
