Kathleen A. Flatley

Kathleen “Kay” A. Flatley passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026. She was 85 years old.
Kay was born on Oct. 5, 1940, in Milwaukee, Wis., to parents Lester and Evelyn (nee Bourbonnais) Beamer.
She went to high school in Wauwatosa, Wis. Kay attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
She was united in marriage with William Flatley on Feb. 23, 1963. Together they raised three sons.
Kay went back to school and completed her registered nursing degree in 1979.
Kay was an avid reader and loved artwork.
She enjoyed knowledge of all things, such as archaeology, astronomy and others.
Kay is survived by her sons Patrick (Patty) Flatley and Shaun Flatley; grandchildren William, Christina (fiancé Michael Bell) and Logan Flatley; other relatives; and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William Flatley, son Michael Flatley and sisters Janice Grudnowski and Jean Weir.
A memorial service will be held at noon on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at St. John XXIII Catholic Parish’s St. Mary’s Church, 451 Johnson St., Port Washington, WI 53074.
The family will greet guests at church from 11 a.m. until the service at 12 p.m.
She will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Port Washington, Wis.
In lieu of flowers, donations to veterans’ charities would be appreciated.
