Port Washington High School senior Charlie Prince got in the pool to swim and, naturally, another school record fell last Saturday at the Manitowoc Lutheran Invite.

Prince broke his own school record and set the meet record in the 200-yard individual medley, winning in 1 minute, 57.63 seconds. Nic Halvorson set the meet record in 2011.

The Pirates scored 383 points and finished third of seven teams.

Prince won the 500 freestyle in 4:59.64. He is about three seconds from the school record, the only individual event in which he doesn’t hold Port’s record.

The 200 freestyle relay of Ian Brown, Nathan Nisiewicz, Caden Hafele and Prince won in 1:36.19.

Hafele won the 50 freestyle in 23.92 seconds.

The 200 medley relay of Noah Blavat, Prince, Nisiewicz and Hafele was second in 1:51.34.

Port beat Hartford/Slinger at home last Thursday, 86.5 to 74.5.

Prince won the 50 freestyle in 23.16 seconds and the 100 breaststroke in 1:00.58.

Port got eight second-places to help pull out the victory.

Port hosts rival Grafton on Tuesday, Jan. 27.
