Fishing club to meet Jan. 14

Tickets for March 14 kickoff party will be for sale

The next monthly meeting of the Great Lakes Sport Fishermen Club’s Ozaukee Chapter will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, at Shakers Pub in Saukville.

Ozaukee County Director of Emergency Management Scott Ziegler will make a presentation on the Ozaukee County Rescue Boat, including the equipment it employs and what operations it undertakes.

The meeting is open to the public and includes a meat raffle and other raffles, along with smoked salmon and snacks.

Tickets for the club’s kickoff party will be on sale for $25 each. The party will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at the Landt-Thiel American Legion Post 470 in Saukville. Only 200 tickets will be sold. Tickets purchased before March 8 will be entered into a gun raffle. Other raffles for guns and fishing equipment will be held at the party. The event includes a buffet-style dinner and dessert. A cash bar will be open for refreshments
