LETTER: Switching pride flag for POW flag at Capitol dishonors vets
To Ozaukee Press:
June is Pride Month in Wisconsin, a state where the governor takes the POW-MIA flag down from the state Capitol and puts up the gay pride rainbow flag for 30 days.
To be fair to the veterans, we do have one day in May to honor all who gave their lives to protect this country. We also have one day in November to honor all veterans that lived through the hell of combat and served this country for years. Now I guess it is up to all of us to think of 30 things (one per day of Pride Month) LGBTQ have done for this country. I have thought about this for a week or two and I cannot think of one thing.
Gov. Evers: Thank you for the executive order 264 that puts the pride flag next to the Wisconsin and U.S. flag and takes down the POW-MIA flag. Your have dishonored every veteran that has died and served this state and country.
