War in Ukraine is topic for program

The war in Ukraine will be the topic for a 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, program at Community United Methodist Church in Cedarburg.

The program will be presented by the Rev. Greg Young, who has visited Ukraine twice since 2019, most recently in August 2022, and is planning another trip this year.

While there, Young helps police officers, psychologists, chaplains, war crimes investigators, first responders and government officials deal with the trauma they have faced.

Young is a local pastor and international training specialist and consultant in moral trauma. He is also a trainer in crisis intervention, resilience and resilient leadership and post traumatic growth.

A retired FBI chaplain, Young is the chaplain for the Germantown Police Department and has worked with police forces throughout the U.S. and abroad, providing assistance after the Sikh Temple  and Azana Salon shootings and the Sandy Hook School shooting.
