Portal Fish Day run draws nearly 250 competitors

Nobody at the Portal Fish Day Run could hack the pace of Milwaukee’s Jack Hacket on Saturday.
The 32-year-old won the 8-kilometer race in 25 minutes, 23.09 seconds.
Hackett in 2019 won the two-mile race when that contest was part of the run.
Port Washington’s Paulina Fote, 27, won the women’s race in 31:02.07.
The race, held for the first time in three years due to the pandemic, drew 239 runners along a newly crafted route.

15 to 19: 1. Micah Anderson, Kenosha, 26:37.14; 2. Nate Meeks, Port Washington, 30:12.09; 3. Bryce Grant, Grafton, 31:08.11.
20 to 29: Blain Masterson, Port Washington, 28:27:01; 2. Noah Vaculik, Fond du Lac, 29:09.53; 3. Nicholas Michalowski, Milwaukee, 31:16.57.
30 to 39: 1. Jack Hackett, 32, Milwaukee, 25:23.09; 2. Ryan Hancock, Port Washington, 29:01.49; 3. Carl Burdey, Grafton, 29:09.74.
40 to 49: 1. Joey Heinrichs, Wauwatosa, 29:40.61; 2. Jason Wellenstein, Port Washington, 32:22.77; 3. Aaron White, 24, Grafton, 32:46.98.
