Youth to seniors have activities in Grafton

The Grafton Senior Center has three trips planned to the Fireside Dinner Theatre in Fort Atkinson during the first three months of 2023.

On Saturday, Jan. 28, a motor coach will take people to see “Piano Men Generations.” The $114 cost includes transportation, a meal and seats.

On Thursday, Feb. 23, a motor coach will take people to see “The Music Man.”

Tickets are $114 and include transportation, a meal and seats.

People are asked to register before Jan. 12.

On Thursday, March 9, a motor coach will take people to see Celtic Angels presenting homage to their Emerald Isle.

The $79 cost includes admission and transportation.

People are asked to register by Jan. 3.

ν The Parks and Recreation Department offers an adult bean bag league on Tuesdays from Jan. 24 to Feb. 21 at the Zaun Pavilion in Lime Kiln Park.

The cost is $50 per team.

The Bridge in Grafton will provide a prize to the winning team.

ν A winter senses family hike will he held at Lime Kiln Park from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 15.

A Riveredge Nature Center educator will lead hikers to look for patterns in the snow, listen to winter sounds and search for animal tracks.

Snowshoes may be worn, depending on the weather. Supplies will be provided.

Children must be 6 or older and accompanied by an adult.

Hikers are to meet at the Zaun Pavilion.

ν An after-school science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) class will be held from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, at the Woodview Elementary School art room.

Students ages 5 to 12 will learn engineering fundamentals using LEGO Technic sets.

The cost is $18 and advance registration is required. Visit the department website or call the department.

ν An e-sports league in five different games is offered starting the week of Jan. 23.

Madden23 or Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will be played on Mondays, Fortnite on Tuesdays, Rocket League on Wednesdays and Super Smash Bros. on Thursdays.

Children 8 to 12 years old play at 7 p.m. Thos 13 to 18 play at 8 p.m., and an adult league plays at 9 p.m.

Prizes will be given to the winners, including a medal, shirt and a $50 Amazon gift card.

The cost is $40 per player.
