Youth plein air art contest starts June 6
The Cedarburg Cultural Center will hold its 21st annual plein air art contest for youth ages 17 and younger, from noon June 6 to 17.
Rules and registration forms are available at the center, W62 N546 Washington Ave., or online at https://www.cedarburgculturalcenter.org/ypa-info-packet.
Awards will be given in four age categories — 5 and younger, ages 6 to 8, ages 9 to 12, and ages 13 to 17.
A People’s Choice award will be given, with voting occurring through June 25.
The awards ceremony will be held at 5:30 p.m. June 26.
The artworks will be exhibited at the center from June 21 to July 14.
Plein air painting involves creating artwork outdoors, capturing the essence of landscapes, urban scenes and natural elements.
