YOUR PIX: Springtime in Wisconsin really is for the birds

These warming days of spring are exciting times for Ozaukee County residents who appreciate sightings of nomatic birds returning from points south. Besides orioles, grosbeaks, warblers, buntings and other migratory species, cedar waxwings are making an appearance. Cindy Harmeyer of Saukville, whose gorgeous bird    photos frequently appear in YOUR PIX, photographed an especially handsome member of that clan at Hawthorn Hills County Park.

Ozaukee Press welcomes photos submitted by readers for YOUR PIX. Subjects should be related to nature in the Ozaukee County area, including landscapes, seascapes, farm scenes, buildings in picturesque settings and people and animals enjoying nature. Photos, with the photographer’s name and contact information and the location and other details about the picture, should be emailed to: editor@ozaukeepress.com
