Winter Days event to be held at art museum
Winter Days will be celebrated at the Museum of Wisconsin Art in West Bend from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, Dec. 29 to 31.
Drop-in art making events will be held each day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
On Wednesday and Thursday, those attending will make their own sketchbook. Materials will be provided.
On Friday, participants will make a papercraft puppet and can bring it to life with the museum’s winter wonderland backdrop.
Tours of the current exhibit, “The Studio Glass Movement in Wisconsin,” led by exhibit curator and museum Executive Director Laurie Winters, will be held from 2 to 2:45 p.m. each day.
Museum members may pick up a free hot cocoa kit to make at home.
The events mark the end of the museum’s 60th anniversary celebration.
Masks are required in the museum.
Admission, which includes a year of membership, start at $15 per person.
