William L. Reas

William “Bill” Lester Reas of Port Washington passed away at Columbia St. Mary’s Ozaukee on May 31, 2021. He was 93.
Bill was born in Park Falls, Wis., on May 29, 1928, to Lester and Eleanor (Heyel) Reas.
He was united in marriage to Ruth Thomas on May 13, 1950, in Port Washington.
Bill retired from work as a supervisor at Continental Can Co. in Milwaukee after 36 years of dedicated service.
He will be remembered for his wood carvings of birds, as an avid fisherman and hunter. Bill was the captain of Ruthie’s Regret charter boat out of Port Washington for many years.
Bill is survived by his children Linda (Brian) Jensen, Rick (Melody) Reas, Mark (Rochelle) Reas, Judi (Rocco) Dougherty and Tammy Wagner; son-in law Steve Deutsch; brother Jim Reas; 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth (1929-2019), his daughter Lisa Deutsch and two grandsons Rocco Daniel Doughtery and Peter Dougherty.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the American Cancer Society.
A Liturgy of the Word was held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at St. John XXIII Catholic Parish, St. Peter of Alcantara Church, 1800 N. Wisconsin St., Port Washington.
The family received visitors at the church from 1 to 3 p.m.
