William J. Eernisse

William “Bill” Eernisse, age 70 years, of Grafton, died Saturday evening, March 7, 2020, at Froedtert West Bend Hospital.  

He was born Sept. 21, 1949, in Port Washington, son of the late Robert and Marvelle Hilgart Eernisse.  

Bill attended St. Joseph Parish School, was a 1967 graduate of Grafton High School and a 1971 graduate of Lakeland College, where he played football.  

On Sept. 11, 1971, Bill married Nadine Shine at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton.  

He retired as regional sales manager for Rotary Lift Co. in 2015.  

Bill was a member of Pilgrim United Church of Christ in Grafton, and during his sales career he served on the board of directors for the Equipment Tool Institute. He was board president from 2005 to 2006 and chaired various committees during his years of service.  

Bill was a former member of Grafton Fire Department, had also coached Little League baseball in Grafton and coached basketball while living in Maryland.

 His survivors include his wife Nadine; daughter Maggie Fouliard; son Daniel (Elizabeth) Eernisse; three grandchildren Connor Sobczak, Nora Eernisse and Morgan Eernisse; two brothers, Bruce “Virgil” Eernisse and Brian (Rebeckah) Eernisse; four sisters, Lynn Mary Holzer, Laurie (David) Schwalbe, Lee Anne (David) Wilde and Lisa (the late Randy) Mueller; aunts; uncles; cousins; other relatives; and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.  

A funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 15, at Pilgrim United Church of Christ, 1621 Second Ave., Grafton.  

Visitation will be at the church Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.
