William Baker

William J. “Bill” Baker of Port Washington, Wis., passed away on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021. He was 65 years old.

Bill was born on April 28, 1956, in Milwaukee, Wis., to parents Edward and Maxine Baker.

Bill was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. One of his most memorable hunting trips was to Canada for black bear, along with many hunting and fishing trips up north to Radisson, Wis., where he hunted with his brothers and nephews.

Bill was a longtime employee at Scot Pump, a division of Ardox now known as Wilo.

Bill is survived by his wife Dawn; sons Benjamin Baker, Nicholas Baker and Daniel (Leslie) Somerset; grandchildren Sophi Baker, Stephen Potts, Michael Potts and Hailey Potts; great-grandchildren Amaya McDonald, Selah Potts and Michael Potts Jr.; brothers Donald (Patricia) Baker and Jim (Mary) Baker; parent-in-law Daniel (Carol) Murphy; siblings-in-law Dione (Lonny) Techel, Brian (Amy) Witteman, and Michael (Gabriella) Witteman, along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Charles “Buz” Baker, Darlene Phillips and Judith Baker.

 A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021, at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave. at 6 p.m.

The family will receive visitors from 4 p.m. until the service.
