Whitefish Bay captures NSC pool honors

It was a two-team race for the North Shore Conference boys’ swim crown last week. Whitefish Bay scored 530 points to win the meet, edging Homestead’s 520.

Grafton scored 98 points for seventh of the eight teams. Port Washington was last with 33 points.

Cedarburg was third with 405; Nicolet was fourth with 290; West Bend Co-op was fifth with 208 and Hartford/Slinger was sixth with 206 points.

For the Black Hawks, the 400-yard freestyle relay tied their highest finish. Jackson King, Lance Greicar, Andew Slagter and Todd O’Connor were eighth in 3 minutes, 52.02 seconds.

Caden Starr was eighth of 11 divers, scoring 310.65 points.

Slagter was 11th in the 200 individual medley in 2:23.06 and 14th in the 100 breaststroke in 1:10.99.

The 200 freestyle relay of King, Kolton Micoliczyk, Chase Mueller and Starr was 11th in 1:51.47. Its other relay of Dawson Memmel, Tristan Sohr, Ian Mitchell and Ian Konzen was 13th in 1:52.2.

Grafton’s second 400 freestyle relay of Memmel, Braedyn King, Charles Rose and Micoliczyk was 12th in 4:22.89.

The 200 medley relay of Greicar, Slagter, Jackson King and O’Connor was 13th in 2:01.65. The second team of Starr, Konzen, Mitchell and Braedyn King was 14th in 2:05.19.

O’Connor was 13th in the 50 freestyle in 24.94 and 16th in the 100 freestyle in 55.83.

King was 13th in the 500 freestyle in 5:59.95.

Greicar was 15th in the 200 individual medley in 2:29.65.

Jackson King was 16th in the 100 butterfly in 1:11.28.

For Port, Dagan Daniels was seventh in diving with 379.95 points.

The 200 freestyle relay team of Finn Ritter, Ben Falkenberg, Maksym Kasiyanchuk and Jack Sickles was 12th in 1:51.85.

The 200 medley relay of Falkenberg, Ritter, Sickles and Elliot Hadacek was 15th in 2:09.44.

Sickles was 133th in the 200 individual medley in 2:26.87.

Falkenberg was 14th in the 500 freestyle in 6:14.57.
