Wade earns doctorate from Syracuse U.

Jeffrey Wade received a doctorate in philosophy in earth science from Syracuse University.

Wade, who was valedictorian of his class at Grafton High School, has accepted a post-doctoral position with NASA at its Joint Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif.

His work has been in the area of computational hydrology, studying how water and changing temperature affect the eco-system.

Wade got his undergraduate degrees in geology and geophysics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He served internships at the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration Office of Water Prediction and the U.S. Geological Survey.
