Volunteers sought for holiday, sports programs
The Port Washington Recreation Department is seeking volunteers for both its holiday and youth sports programs.
Volunteers are needed for the Polar Express and Santa in a Snow Globe programs.
Volunteers are needed through Dec. 1 to prepare for the Polar Express, handling tasks that include organizing supplies and stuffing gift bags, and to help at the event, which will run from 9 a.m. to noon on Dec. 4. Volunteers there will help with games, cookie decorating and handing out hot chocolate, as well as other activities.

Santa in a Snow Globe will run from 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 17 and 18.
Volunteers and staff members are also needed for youth sports programs, including soccer, basketball and a youth sampler program.
