Four Fredonia businesses were presented with Beautification Awards by Economic Development Committee Chairman TJ Meyers-Jansky at the Thursday, May 3, Village Board meeting.

The awards recognize improvements made in 2017 to business properties in the village.

The recipients were Tom & Jodi’s Fredonia Inn, Guy & O’Neill Inc., HCR Services and Heather Hambrecht.

Meyers-Jansky said the award was given to Guy & O’Neill Inc. at 200 Industrial Dr. for improvements to their buildings in the village’s industrial park.

She said Tom and Jodi Gamerdinger added a deck, re-sided the building and cleaned up the overall appearance of their tavern at 412 Fredonia Ave.

Heather Hambrecht, a leather designer, purchased the former Fredonia State Bank building at 507 Fredonia Avenue and gave it a total makeover for use as a studio.

HCR Services, a construction firm, purchased the former Village Market building at 119 Highland Dr. and spruced up the outside.

Each of the business representatives received a plaque and yard sign to post outside their business.

Meyers-Jansky thanked award winners for investing in their businesses and the village.
