Veterans, first responders to be honored at OHS football game Aug. 23

A Salute to Service Night will be held during the Friday, Aug. 23, Ozaukee High School football game to honor area residents  who serve the country and local community.

Admission to the Warriors’ season-opening game against Reedsville will be for military veterans, past and present, and first responders, including police, firefighters and EMS personnel.

Veterans and first responders are asked to notify the ticket-booth attendant to be admitted for free. They also will receive a free hat.

Near the end of the first quarter, all veterans will be asked to gather on the track in front of the home bleachers for recognition between the first and second quarters of the game.

First responders will be recognized between the third and fourth quarters.
