Two community gardens offering plots
Gardeners in Grafton can register for plots in two community gardens in the community.
Registrations are being accepted for 10 plots in the new Grafton Lions Community Garden and the St. John Lutheran Church Community Garden.
The Lions garden at 2596 Cheyenne Ave., just north of the Grafton Little League fields, offers raised beds, shared tools, and space for Grafton residents to grow fresh produce and connect with neighbors.
Each plot is $25. Gardeners who register will be able to choose their preferred garden bed on a first‑come, first‑served basis.
The community garden is a Grafton Lions Club project.
For more information or to register, email Project Chairman, Lions Phyllis Wiggins at pmwiggi@gmail.com or Marketing Chairman Lion Dave Antoine at davenan1975@gmail.com.
St. John’s Lutheran Church Community Garden at 1193 Lakefield Rd., has two-by-eight-foot beds available for rent this season.
The fee is $25 for the season, and some garden tools will be provided.
For information or to rent a plot, call the church at (262) 377-0410.
