Turning the Paige on triple digits:

Paige Proefrock knew she needed 11 kills to reach a career milestone, but she wasn’t counting during a home quad on Aug. 26.
Her teammates, however, were keeping track.
After a leap and kill from well behind the net against Pewaukee, the Black Hawks’ bench gave a louder cheer than normal and presented Proefrock with balloons, and coach Ashley Wilson called timeout to mark the achievement.
“This milestone means a lot to me because it has been something I wanted to achieve coming in as a freshman on the team,” Proefrock said.
“I also am so, so thankful for my team because I wouldn’t have been able to reach this accomplishment without them. They mean so much to me and I am so happy to be playing with all of them.”
Grafton won the quad, beating Pewaukee, Living Word Lutheran and Waterford all 2-0.
The Black Hawks last Saturday won the Crusader Cup in Milwaukee, sweeping Greendale, Waukesha North, Port Washington and Arrowhead. They beat West Bend East and Kettle Moraine, 2-1.
Grafton hosts Hartford on Thursday, Sept. 3, and Whitefish Bay on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
