Trio participating in football all-star game

Two local football players and an assistant coach are participating in this weekend’s Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-Star Games in Oshkosh.

Players must be graduating seniors nominated by their head coach.

Players practice with all-stars from across the state throughout the week and are tasked with fundraising for Children’s Wisconsin Hospital in Wauwatosa.

Grafton’s Tyler Deer will play wide receiver for the North Large team on Saturday, July 18.

Deer, a key member of the undefeated Division 3 state champion Black Hawks, led the state and set a school record with 80 catches and had 1,227 yards receiving with 12 touchdowns. He also ran 20 times for 198 yards and three scores. He was named to the All-Region team and the Woodland Conference first team.
