Tour of Sauk Creek Preserve is June 4

A community walk and talk at the Sauk Creek Nature Preserve in Port Washington will be held from 4 to 5 :30 p.m. Thursday, June 4.

The preserve, owned by Restoring Lands, was the first nature center owned by the group.

Restoration Manager Christine Bohn will discuss reforestation efforts underway at the Sauk Creek woods and plans for the preserve’s future.

The land trust has hired a contractor to clear the woods of invasive species and will eventually restore the land to its native state.
