Todd D. Plzak

Todd David Plzak left his earthly troubles behind on June 6, 2026, with friends at his side.

Todd was born in Antigo, Wis., on Nov. 22, 1960, to Dale and Phyllis Plzak. The family moved to Belgium, Wis., and then to Fredonia in 1962. Todd went to St. Rose (Divine Savior) Catholic School, where he was an altar boy, and finished his education at Ozaukee High School.

Todd had a few jobs in his life, working at the local cheese factory on Highway 57 and delivering beer in northern Wisconsin. He really enjoyed working at Trak International until it closed. He learned many of his welding skills at Trak and became a proficient welder.

He built himself a small engine repair shop in Fredonia in the late 1990s. He was hoping his shop, Plzak’s Small Engine Repair, would be his retirement, but Todd’s health made this an unattainable goal.

Todd loved his German shorthaired pointers, both named Beau, which passed on. Then he saw Lola being featured on television. He called to inquire and brought her home. Lola now has a forever home with Todd’s friend Maureen.

He enjoyed celebrating the Random Lake parade at his home, which was next to the school. He enjoyed watching the kids learning how to march, running track and playing football. He also enjoyed working on computers to see how they operated and whatever else he could tinker with. Todd’s generosity was to a fault sometimes. His jokes and his smile will be forever missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Terry.

He is survived by many friends, as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A funeral service for Todd will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Eernisse Funeral Home Belgium, 171 N. Royal Ave., Belgium, Wis. Friends will greet visitors from 11:30 a.m. until the service.

Todd will be laid to rest with his parents and brother at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Fredonia.
