TJ Middle School brings beloved nanny Mary Poppins to the stage this week

Preparing for two shows this week, the Thomas Jefferson Middle School cast of the musical “Mary Poppins” on Saturday put the final touches on its production of the story of the magical nanny who comes to the rescue of the dysfunctional family of George and Winifred Banks and exposes their children Jane and Michael to memorable adventures. Playing lead roles are (front row, from left) Jack Mitchell as George, Amanda Crass as Winifred, Kasey Wuhrmann as Michael, Josephine Ryder as Jane, Natalie Olson as Mary Poppins and Simon Gilhooly as Bert. Shows will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, and 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at the Port Washington High School Performing Arts Center, 427 W. Jackson St. Tickets are $10 and $6 depending on seat preference and can be purchased through gofan.co at www.gofan.co/app/school/WI19483.
