Thomas W. Urban

Just shy of 84 years old, Thomas W. Urban passed away on Dec. 16 in Grafton.
He was born in Lake Geneva and raised in Milwaukee as well as Greenwich, Conn.
He graduated with a degree in engineering from Marquette University in 1963.
He married his wife Kathleen (Carrick) in 1966.
Working as a mechanical engineer, he and his family lived in Virginia, New York, California, Georgia, Ohio, Connecticut, Illinois and Wisconsin and traveled throughout the world.
Beyond his career, he always volunteered in his communities, including church activities, Sea Scouts, soccer coaching, Marquette recruitment and Habitat for Humanity.
Tom is survived by his wife of 58 years, Kathy, his son Bill (Ann) Urban, daughter Judy (Mark) Wilson and four grandchildren, Joseph, Leo, Catie and Morgan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024, at St. John XXIII Catholic Parish, St. Peter of Alcantara Church, in Port Washington. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. and the Mass will be held at noon.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Jesuit Retreat House on Lake Winnebago (jesuitretreathouse.org).
