Teens provide comfort to children of soldiers

Grafton High School freshmen gathered at the Rose-Harms American Legion Hall on Friday, April 10, to make 100 comfort kits that will be sent to the children of deployed soldiers. The kits each include such items as handmade notes and stuffed animals. Writing notes to the youngsters receiving the kits were (above photo, from left) Kaylie Van Sluys, Tessa Tagliapietra, Aubry Mangan, Emma Catey and Olivia Schaeter. Placing a stuffed animal into one of the kits were (right photo) Colson Maurer and Leo Knetzger.                Photos by Sam Arendt
