Susan C. Hansen
Susan C. Hansen of Random Lake passed away at her home on Oct. 28, 2024, at the age of 70.
Susan was born on Aug. 4, 1954, to the late Arnold and Darlene (Uhrman) Krieg.
On March 24, 1973, she was united in marriage to Robert Hansen at Holy Hill Church, and they spent 51 years together.
Sue had many interests. She had an immense love for dogs and over the years had nine — from huge Newfoundlands and Bernese mountain dogs to the cute and fluffy keeshonds and Pomeranians.
She was always up for an adventure and driving long distances to a yarn show or fabric store was never out of the question. Her knitters’ group was a weekly staple, and she enjoyed it greatly.
She took great pride in her garden over the years and cooking was a passion. Sue was well renowned for her amazing cheesecake that was second to none.
She was an eager student for anything that she didn’t know, diving into classes and workshops on everything from beekeeping to concealed carry.
A true patriot, Sue was a strong and determined woman who always spoke her mind but did it from her heart. She was always a champion of the unborn child and would help any mother with their children.
Sue’s faith was very important to her. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Sheboygan. She enjoyed participating in church potlucks, teaching Bible study and helping with the reorganization of the church library.
Her presence would light up a room. She had a place in her heart for almost anyone. She was always willing to help others and her loving nature made family out of friends. She will be missed beyond measure.
She was preceded in death by her brother Gerald Krieg.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Robert and her sister-in-law Tammy Krieg, along with nephews Aaron and Jerry, cousins Carol, Sandy and Jennifer and so many very dear friends.
The family would like to thank Judy and Kevin (neighbors and friends) for watching Peaches while things were so hectic.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Susan’s name to Lakeview Community Library in Random Lake, Wis. — a place she was invested in and enjoyed greatly.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2024, at noon at Bethel Baptist Church, 2411 Weeden Creek Rd., Sheboygan. The family will greet friends and relatives at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.
