Summer Nights Live is Aug. 3

Event is second of three in new entertainment series organized by Belgium Area Chamber of Commerce

The second installment of a new concert and entertainment series developed through the state’s Connect Communities program will be held Friday, Aug. 3, at Community Park in Belgium.

The Brad Arndt Band will perform honky tonk, Americana and alternative country music at Summer Nights LIVE from 6 to 9 p.m.

Festivities include a beer garden featuring Bofferding beer from Luxembourg, concession stand, bounce house, playground, market featuring various vendors and kickball and cornhole games.

The beer garden hosts will be the Cedar Grove-Belgium Broncos youth football team and Melvin Wester Belgium American Legion Post 412.

The event, along with this month’s Splash Pad Sunday, were two of the most popular suggestions during a spring brainstorming session of community residents and leaders at the Connect Communities kickoff meeting.

Connect Communities is run by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. as a supplement to the Main Street program that works to support downtown redevelopment.
