State park ready for summer activities

Several people descended upon Harrington Beach State Park in the Town of Belgium on April 27 to help clean up the park and prep it for summer activities. Among the helpers were (from left) Mason Andersen, Davis Wieberdink, Casey Katte and Josiah Wallner from Cub Scout Troop 841 of Cedar Grove. The next event at the park is a naturalist hike from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 18. After meeting at the Welcome Center, hikers will search for birds and spring wildflowers. Dogs are not allowed. Admission is free, but state park admission passes are required. For more information call 285-3015. Photo by Sam Arendt
