Starting the school year off right

Members of ValorCares Foundation on Monday dropped off classroom supplies for teachers in several area school districts, including Northern Ozaukee Elementary School in Fredonia. The donation is part of the nonprofit group’s Ready to Learn, Set to Succeed initiative, which came about after hearing from  teachers who often purchase classroom supplies with their own money. Presenting the supplies were (from left) Amanda Sevener and Chloe Spenner of ValorCares and Sevener’s children Brinley and Landon, and accepting them were first-grade teacher Anne Kunz, second-grade teacher Jill Doherty and Principal Lynne Kucharski.
