Stanley Janeshek Jr.

Stanley W. Janeshek Jr. of Port Washington passed away on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021. He was 82 years old.
Stan was born on July 29, 1939, in Port Washington to Stanley and Mary (Wolovlek) Janeshek.
Stan attended St. Norbert College, where he participated in the ROTC program. Stan served in the U.S. Army and was a current member of the Port Washington American Legion.
He worked as a dedicated postal carrier for 40 plus years.
He took great pride in helping others, even shoveling for some of the residents on his route.
Stan enjoyed golfing with friends and perch fishing, as well as frequenting the local pubs and playing liar’s dice.
He will be remembered for his leisure suit collection and his crazy and sometimes outrageous attire that he wore proudly walking the streets every New Year’s Day.
Stan enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Stan is survived by his wife Barbara; daughter Monica (John Mikyska) Jansen; son William (Rebecca) Janeshek; grandchildren Dylan, Tyler, Kyle and Nick Jansen, Jessica Mikyska, Zach (Kaylee) Rudolph, Ben Rudolph, Daniel and Trevor Janeshek; and brother Frank Janeshek.
Stan was preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Mary and stepmother Laverne Janeshek.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021, at 5 p.m. at Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington, WI 53074.
The family will receive visitors from 2 p.m. until the service at 5 p.m.
