A Guy and O’Neill expansion project that will add 125,000 square feet to the wet wipes production facility in Fredonia is nearly complete.

The new space will function as a storage space with automated racking, storage space and staff facilities such as restrooms and offices, according to a company press release. The addition will also include seven dock doors for shipping and receiving.

The new storage space will be connected to the south end of the company’s existing facility at 200 Industrial Dr.

Sheboygan-based Quasius Construction Inc. was contracted for the project.

According to the release, the expansion will allow Guy and O’Neill to accommodate demand for personal hygiene and cleaning products, which increased during the pandemic.

“We continue to grow to meet the needs of our customers, and we need more warehouse space to handle the increased flow of raw materials and finished products through our facility.” Supply Chain Director Patrick Weber said in the release.

Work on the expansion began in April 2021 and is expected to be completed soon.

“We are pleased to continue to invest in the Fredonia area and appreciative for the community’s support of Guy & O’Neill,” CEO Jeff Brooks said. “This warehouse expansion helps support our infrastructure needs, and we continue to look for more employees to join our growing and thriving family.”
