Softball leagues are crossing their fingers

Rod Wilterdink and the Senior Ozaukee Softball League are hoping for the best but they are preparing for an altered season this summer.

The league typically starts its games in May and is planning to proceed as scheduled at this point. But, Wilterdink said, a delayed start is possible, along with playing two games per week instead of one.

The league is open to county residents 55 or older as of June 15. The cost is $45, which includes the end-of-the-year banquet.

Games are played on Thursdays from May through August.
