As snow arrives, vehicle accidents begin to pile up

After more than four inches of snow fell in Grafton as of Wednesday, there were more than a dozen vehicular accidents reported by the village police.

Police said 19 accidents occurred between 10 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, and 6 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30.

Village officials said the Public Works Department began clearing roads at 2 a.m.

In addition to the accidents, there were reports of disabled vehicles stuck in the snow, which officers helped push.

Grafton Police Chief Jeff Caponera, cautioned drivers to take their time and drive slowly.
