Singing for someone else’s supper

When members of Thomas Jefferson Middle School’s choirs performed their holiday concert last month, they put out a collection jar in the hopes of raising a few hundred dollars for the Saukville Community Food Pantry. Instead, the students at the Port Washington school raised $1,095 for the organization that helps feed those in need. With choir members in the background, their teacher, Abigail Bordak-Raaflaub (left), presented the gift-wrapped jar filled with money to Sara Pashak, president of the Saukville Food Pantry’s board of directors.                                                                                          Photo by Bill Schanen IV
