Singer/singwriter concert is March 11
Sons of the Never Wrong will perform a Wisconsin Singer Songwriter Series concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 11.
The concert will be at Unitarian Church North in Mequon.
Sons of the Never Wrong is a turbo-charged Altfolk trio from Chicago that delivers witty, whimsical songs with soaring vocal harmonies
Their music is described as a combination of folk, jazz, pop and rock, and the group sparks its shows with oddball humor and spontaneous stories.
The members of the group are Sue Demel, Bruce Roper and Deborah Lader.
Demel is a songwriter who is described as having an expressive voice. She is a songwriting teacher based out of the Old Town School of Folk Music who has written and performed at places that include folk operas, puppet theater, fringe fests, rock bands, dance gigs, music therapy events, live experimental radio projects, Vatican masses, blues concerts, South American gospel festivals and poetry slams.
Roper has become a prolific voice on the Chicago songwriting scene. He is a maker of stringed instruments and started the Chicago Luthiers Workshop where he builds and repairs stringed instruments, makes how-to videos, and provides one-on-one guitar making workshops. In 1992 he founded the Sons of the Never Wrong.
Lader has a national reputation as a visual artist and is a skilled instrumentalist of guitar, mandolin and banjo. It’s said her voice inspires people
Tickets are $21 in advance, $25 at the door or $12 for students. Discounts of $1 per donated food item to a maximum of $4 will be given at the door.

The church is at 13800 N. Port Washington Rd. Doors open at 7 p.m.
