Shawn Winter

Mr. Shawn Winter of the Town of Sherman passed away unexpectedly Thursday, May 3, 2018, in Sheboygan. He was 37 years old.

Shawn was born in Sheboygan on Oct. 31, 1980, the third son of Norm and Dona Eibs Winter.  He grew up in Batavia and attended local schools.

Shawn always enjoyed being outside and spent his free time bow-hunting, working on vehicles and just enjoying the outdoors.  He had recently worked as a landscaper with local companies.

Shawn was an outgoing man and a hard worker. He was willing to help anyone and enjoyed doing so.  The light of his life was his daughter Skyler; he looked forward to any time they got to spend together.

Survivors include his daughter Skyler Winter of Sheboygan Falls; parents Norm and Dona Winter of Random Lake; and brothers Brian (Diane) Winter of Cedar Grove, Timothy (Amber) Winter of Random Lake and Doug (Theresa) Winter, also of Cedar Grove.

He is further survived by nieces and nephew Danika, Brenna, Ella, Preston, Alyssa, Abby and Melayah; grandmothers Ruby (the late Henry) Eibs of Fredonia and Kay (the late Allan) Winter of Plymouth; special friend Kristianne Knight of Sheboygan Falls; former sister-in-law Katrina Winter of Cedar Grove; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; other family and friends.

He is also survived by his loving canine companion Rebos, who will miss the games of catch at the park.

Funeral services were held at 6 p.m. Monday, May 7, at St. John Lutheran Church in Sherman Center (Random Lake).  The Rev. Peter Peitsch presided.

Memorials are suggested in lieu of flowers.

Eernisse Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
